Part Second: Rules of the Session
Article 492
1. The maintenance of order and the management of the session are the responsibility of its president. 2. Every order issued by him for this purpose must be executed immediately.
Article 493
The president may address questions to the parties or their representatives that he deems useful and may express observations that he deems necessary and warn the advocates of the necessity of investigating a matter they have neglected to investigate. He may prevent whoever is pleading from speaking if he follows a course.
Article 494
1. The President has the right to expel from the courtroom anyone who disrupts its order; if such person does not comply, the court may apply to him the provisions of Article 418 of the Penal Code. 2. If the act that necessitated his expulsion constitutes a crime punishable by a penalty more severe than that specified in the aforementioned article, the President shall draw up a report against him and refer him to the Public Prosecution for prosecution. 3. He may issue a detention order that is immediately enforceable.
Article 495
The court may order, of its own motion or upon request of one of the parties, the deletion of offensive or improper language or language contrary to public order from any document of the suit or order the person from whom it emanated to withdraw the document in which it appeared and replace it.
Article 496
In accordance with the provisions of the Lawyers' Law, the President of the Session orders the drafting of a record of every crime that occurs during its convening and of the investigative measures he deems necessary to take. He then orders the referral of the papers to the Public Prosecution to take the necessary actions. If the committed crime is a felony or a misdemeanor, he may, if the situation so requires, order the arrest of the person who committed it.
Article 497
With due regard to the provisions of the Bar Association law, the court may try whoever commits during the session it holds a misdemeanor constituting an assault on its dignity or on one of its members or one of its employees and sentence him immediately. The court may also sentence whoever testified falsely.
