Terms of Service

Last updated 2 August 2026 · Lebanese Legal

Lebanese Legal is a reference for Lebanese law in plain language. It is legal information, not legal advice — it explains what the law says, and a lawyer who knows your facts is who tells you what to do about it.

1. The agreement

These terms apply to lebaneselegal.com and the Lebanese Legal application behind sign-in. Using the site or creating an account means accepting them.

2. What the service does

Lebanese Legal makes Lebanese law searchable and explains it in terms a non-lawyer can follow. You can browse the law, search for the provision that applies to a situation, and read plain-language explanations alongside it.

3. Information, not advice

Everything on the service is legal information, not legal advice. Reading it creates no lawyer–client relationship. How a provision applies depends on the facts of a case, and only a qualified lawyer who knows those facts can advise on them. Do not act on a provision found here in a matter with real stakes without taking advice.

4. Accuracy and currency

Lebanese law changes — by statute, decree and interpretation — and a text can be amended, suspended or superseded after it was added to the service. Reasonable effort is made to keep content current and to state the source of each text, but no warranty is given that any text is the version in force. The official published text prevails over anything shown here.

Plain-language explanations are simplifications by design. Where an explanation and the legal text diverge, the legal text prevails.

5. Accounts and acceptable use

One account is for one person; sharing credentials is not permitted. Do not scrape or redistribute the content in bulk, do not use the service to build a competing dataset, and do not attempt to disrupt it or probe it for vulnerabilities without permission. Quoting provisions with attribution in your own work is fine.

6. Availability and liability

The service is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim, and excludes loss caused by acting on content without legal advice.

7. Changes and contact

These terms may change; the date above records when, and continued use after a change means accepting it. Questions about these terms go via the contact page at /support.
